Hello, my name is Dani (Short of Danielle) and I grew up in the US in Minnesota and I currently live in Minneapolis, which is one of the major cities in Minnesota. I graduated university with a major in psychology and a minor in East Asian Studies. I also have a TESOL certificate. I am currently a tutor here as a literacy tutor in an elementary school through the Minnesota Reading Corps.
안녕하세요. 제이름은 Dani이고, 저는 미국 미네소타에서 자랐으며, 현재는 Minnesota에서 가장큰 도시인 Minneapolis 에 살고 있습니다. 저는 심리학을 전공하고, 동아시아학을 부전공으로 대학을 졸업하였으며, TESOL 자격또한 취득하였습니다. 저는 현재 미네소타주 초등학교에서 Literacy tutor (아이들에게 읽고 쓰는 기술)로 근무하고 있습니다.
I have taught and lived in South Korea for four years from 2016 until February 2020. I taught in public elementary schools in Gangwon province through the EPIK program which is the English program in Korea, run by the Korean Ministry of Education. I taught grades 3-6 in a small town, Inje for one year. I also taught after school English for grades 1-4.
저는 2016년도 부터 2020년까지 4년동안 한국에서 영어를 가르쳤습니다. 한국 교육청에서 주관하는 EPIK 프로그램을 통해서 강원도의 국립초등학교에서 영어를 가르쳤습니다. 1년은 인제에서 3-6학년 학생들을 1년간 지도하였고, 방과후수업에서는 1-4학년을 가르친 경험이 있습니다.
After the first year, I transferred to Wonju and taught grades 4-6 at Taejang elementary school with my Korean co-teachers and I also taught after school soccer team (Taejang FC), as they were recommended to have private English lessons once a week. I planned and went through lessons every week for 22 hours a week in Korea. I have mainly worked with the age range of students from 6 years old to 13 years old. Since Korea, I have grown very fond of teaching, especially teaching English. I have also grown up speaking both English and Korean so I am bilingual in both languages. My goal is to help my students feel more comfortable and relaxed and confident in their English speaking abilities. Thank you for listening and hope to see you soon! Bye!
1년후에 저는 원주 태정초등학교에서 한국인선생님과 함께 4-6학년에게 영어를 가르쳤고, 또한 방과후에는 태정 FC 축구팀에게 일주일에 한번씩 영어를 가르쳐주었습니다. 한국에서 일주일에 22시간 티칭에 대한 수업 계획을 세우고 티칭을 하였습니다. 주로 6살부터 13살 사이의 아이들을 영어를 가르치면서 저는 티칭이 너무나 즐거워졌습니다. 저는 또한 영어와 한국어를 모두 말하면서 자라서 두 언어 모두유창합니다. 제 목표는 학생들이 영어로 말할때 더 편안하고 자신감을 느끼도록 돕는 것입니다. 경청해 주셔서 감사 드리며 곧 뵙기를 바랍니다! 안녕!
