Hello.
My name is Erica and I am from the USA. I was born in a really small state called Delaware. I think you probably won’t know it but that’s ok. It’s very close to the sea and there are many beautiful places to visit there.

안녕하세요. 제이름은 Erica 이며, 미국사람입니다. 저는  Delaware라는 작은 도시에서 태어났습니다. 아마도 모르실꺼예요 하지만 괜찮아요. 이곳은 바다와 아주 가까이에 있으며, 아름다운 곳이 아주 많습니다. 

Now I am studying my Master’s degree at an American University. When I did my Bachelors degree I studied history. Now I am studying International Relations. Basically, I want to understand how different countries work with each other.

저는 현재 American University에서 국제학 석사를 공부중이며, 학사는 역사를 전공하였습니다. 저는 여러다른 나라를 이해하고 싶어서 국제학을 선택했습니다. 

I also really love English and like to teach it. I have been teaching English for over 5 years now. I started teaching when I was in college and my first student was from Korea. I enjoyed learning about Korea from my student so much that I decided to live there after I finished my studies. So, from 2013 until just this past August of 2017, I lived and worked in Korea as an English teacher. I taught at a very small high school in Nonsan my first year then I moved to Cheonan where I taught elementary students in a hagwon.

저는 영어를 가르치는 일이 너무나 좋습니다. 지난 5년간 영어를 가르쳐왔으며, 제 첫학생은 한국인 이였습니다. 저는 학생들로부터 한국에 대해서 배우는것이 즐거워서 대학을 졸업한후 한국으로 갔습니다. 2013년부터 2017년까지 한국에 살면서 영어선생님으로 근무하였습니다. 첫해는 논산에 있는 작은 고등학교에서 영어를 가르쳤고, 그 후에는 천안에서 초등학생을 가르쳤습니다. 

My last 2 years in Korea I was in Asan where I taught in the public elementary schools. I really loved all my students; both the young ones and the older ones. I have taught students as young as 5 years old all the way up to ages 30 and 40 years old. The most important part of learning a new language is to have fun. If learning is not fun then it becomes boring and hard work. So, in my lessons, I like my students to laugh and have a good time. If you want to learn more about American culture, then please ask me. 후에 마지막 2년동안은 안산의 초등학교에서 학생들을 가르쳤습니다. 저는 어린아이들 부터 성인까지 제 모든 학생들이 너무나 사랑스럽습니다.  제일 어린학생은 5살이였고, 30대/40대 성인도 있었습니다. 새로운 언어를 배우는 중요한 키는 재미있게 하는것입니다.  배우는 것이 재미가 없으며 지루하고 공부하기 힘들어집니다. 그래서 저는 제 수업에서 학생들이 많이 웃으면서 즐거운 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 합니다.  미국문화에 대해서 배우고 싶다면 언제든지 저에게 물어보세요. 저 또한 여러분이 살고있는곳에 대해서 더 알고 싶습니다.
